September is a month of transitions. Classes begin, the cool autumn air sets in, and I have never seen more moving trucks in one place than I did this weekend in Boston. Residents scrambled up and down streets and flights of stairs with furniture and sundries during the biggest moving day of the year.

Here at Firstgiving, we’d like to mark this period of transition by highlighting the causes of the month and some of the organizations working for these causes. Leukemia and Lymphoma Awareness Month (The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society over $18,500 raised)
